So it sounds like the tuberculosis ward up in here. Everyone (except me!) is hacking, groaning, sniffling, and othwise miserable. That's always a good time. MOST of the sickies are in pretty good spirits, there is one exception I won't name names though. (It's the only one who can grow a beard.)
Last night my Hubs and I sat down for a lovely night of clearing the DVR when our 7 year old informant came out to say this to us, "Jack has taken off his diaper and played in his poop." Yeah, so that will ruin an evening quick like. We walk into the hallway and, no lie, the boy is COVERED from head to foot in his own poop. What possesses a child to do this? Is it that it smells so wonderful they want it ALL over? I highly doubt that's it. I don't know what it is, but I can tell you this I was in no mood for scrubbing poopy all night.
The cool weather has made me happy happy. I just love everything to do with fall. I think a trip for some apples is in order so I can make up some crisp and applesauce. What is it about Autumn that just begs for baking apples? I'm sure I don't know, but I am more than willing to play along.
Two days ago an orange crayon got into my laundry. I consulted with Google and found a lovely recipe that was sure to get all of the lovely bright orange spots out of my children's brand new school clothes. And guess what? It worked! So I take that freshly unoranginated load and put it into the dryer, where it comes out orange again. Yup. The crayon was lodged under the lint trap holder thingy. So there I was in my spidery basement taking apart my dryer and chipping crayon off of it with a butter knife, meanwhile repeating the deorgination process. Guess what the Google forgot to tell me? GUESS! If the clothes aren't colorfast they will have large bleach looking scplotches all over them. Fail.
I went back and reread this before posting and I think I might have ADD. I am seriously all over the place today. Oh well, I suppose I had better get back to the wiping of noses and the close watch of Jack's diaper status. In closing I am going to include this cute picture of a kitten I found. (ADD)
