Tuesdays Unwrapped

I was super excited to start my "Tuesdays Unwrapped" with Emily. Then I woke up this morning felt the pounding in my head and proclaimed that the goal for the day was -Don't die. Even so, as the day went on I will tell you that gifts abounded as I opened my eyes to see them.

It was hard to choose just one gift to share. And that really became the gift itself. Setting your eyes to find the beauty in the moment. A gift indeed.

This morning the gift was a snuggly blonde boy who wanted to share my lovey blanket. He crawled in beside me all warm and full of kisses. I know these days won't last forever.

This afternoon was a beautiful smile on the face of my oldest, which is rare these days. As she came out of the door at school a half moon grin spread across her face and she gave me a huge hug. Yeah buddy.

The here and now is the middle baby finally feeling up to sitting up and coloring for a few minutes. She has had the croup and I am very happy to see her up and not laying down and barking.

I am thrilled to be starting this month of unwrapping the gifts in the everyday. Please follow along and link up at www.chattingatthesky.com.

  1. That's where joy is found, isn't it? In the everyday smiles, a break from the coughing spells, the little things we need to collect in our hearts and appreciate. Thanks for sharing your Tuesday with us!
