I haven't written in quite awhile for me and I am so sorry! I have to tell you it was because my ENTIRE family has had the respiratory flu. I have been up to my eyeballs in tissues and vaporizers and Children's Motrin. Today, however, I can't talk. (Much to the pleasure of my children and Husband.) So I have decided to get out some of my daily allotment of words on you fine people.
I have taken to doing some work from home for the PTA. I have been stapling envelopes and cutting and sorting tickets for a lovely spaghetti dinner. I love this kind of stuff. I think I would have made a wonderful secretary if only I wasn't so mouthy!
Also our van died. A pitiful, hideous death just two weeks before we had the money to replace it. You know what though? God replaced it. He used my loving Uncle to provide us with a newer car and some serious realization that our family really loves us. Not only that, but by having the van die now He made it so that we would have to rely on our faith to bring us through. I can always use a good lesson in relying on Him. I am one for peddling through on my own and not asking for help. Cause I am hard headed like that.
Jason, the poor honey, ended up with an Upper respiratory infection. He was out of work Monday and Tuesday. It was a nice reminder of when we used to spend every evening together. Picture it, him and I asleep on the couch, snoring. Good times. We are so old! I love it though. I know for sure that growing old with him will make growing old bearable. He is my lobster. (If you've never seen Friends this won't make sense, and you totally should watch it.)
I have been a part of MOPS for like three years now, on and off. Every year they do this awesome thing where they pamper all of the Mommies. There are manicurists and massages and all sorts of lovely things. I have managed to miss this particular meeting ALL THREE YEARS. Ah well there is always next year!
So that's what happened around here. That and a whole bunch of coughing and sneezing. What's up at your house?
Love that you're working on the PTA! Great work!
ReplyDeleteIf it makes you feel any better, we didn't have any massages this year! Boohoo! We couldn't find any therapists willing to come - and we called a ton!! So maybe next when you come we'll have one! :) We missed you and beautiful smiling face! You do a great job making all the ladies feel so welcome.
ReplyDeleteI totally pictured Phoebe with the claws when you called J your lobster.
