*Gasp* Time Out!

That is what I have been saying the most for the past 3 weeks or so. It's like my catch phrase.

You see for some reason the children in this house have made it their personal mission to find the naughtiest and meanest things they can do to each other. Which, inevitably, leaves one or two screaming with the injustice.

For example, my sweet, lovely, innocent (cough, cough) two year old boy just got into a scuffle over a couch pillow and hauled off and decked his 4 year old sister in the head. To which I replied, "*gasp* TIME OUT!"  I had one of about 100 different examples I could have shared here, but that one was freshest because it literally happened as I typed the sentence before it. Yeah, this is serious folks.

I am on the verge of a frazzled, grasping at straws, God help me sort of breakdown. I don't know if it is too much summer togetherness or what. I think the proper medicine is a good dose of outdoors. It's probably a matter of being cooped up too long.

So here's the plan. Tomorrow I am taking these lovely children to the park to play with some other lovely children whilst I visit with their lovely Mother. Another adult who has more to talk about then what is new on  PBS Kids. Then I think later in the week I will take them all to the Zoo and wear them out.

On a semi related note, this weekend my Husband and I are obtaining some time alone. It has been so long since we have had an honest to goodness, out of this house, remember why you got married and made these children kind of date. Can I get an Amen?

So that's the plan. Anyone else at their end of summer rope? I know I am not rowing this boat alone people!
