While still in the middle of this stretch of bad days I have been given a different way of thinking.
As I was driving with my children in the car a song came on the radio and got lodged in my head. I didn't think anything of it at the time because this happens to me quite frequently. All of a sudden I stopped and thought about the meaning of the words I was singing over and over again.
When the waves are taking you under
Hold on just a little bit longer
He knows that this is gonna make you stronger, stronger
The pain ain't gonna last forever
And things can only get better
Believe me, this is gonna make you stronger
Gonna make you stronger, stronger, stronger
Believe me, this is gonna make you ... ~Mandisa
He is going to take this disease and pain that has been heaped onto my head by this broken world and use it to further the kingdom of Heaven. He will take this awful situation and use me to shine His light. I am being built up. If you are struggling today and looking to the sky and asking, "Why me?" Perhaps you are being built up as well. There is a reason and a purpose. So "Hold on just a little bit longer."
Started following your blog after seeing it on the IES board. This is just what I needed to hear right now! Thank you!!
