My Big Day Out

So today we went to the Museum of Play and had great fun. Before that we made a pit stop to put our feet in the sand and see a light house at Ontario Beach. After the museum we ended up at Five Guys for a hot dog and some fries. It was great. We had the best time and the kids were super good. Especially since they went from 7:30-2 without substantial food intake. Thank you Eric for being an awesome tour guide!

I did pretty great considering how far from my "safe zone" I was. And how long we were gone. And the fact my Hubby wasn't there. And the fact that going out to eat was involved. And the fact that we went to the petri dish that is the museum of play. So I will say it I am proud of myself.

In all reality *I* had nothing to do with it. Last night I was very anxious about this outing so I sat down with my Father God and had a conversation. He pointed me to His word for the answer to the question I was asking. Boy was it ever perfect (what else would you expect)! I asked, "Lord please help me because I am "terrified" about this thing I have to do tomorrow." Then He told me to look up the word terrified in the concordance in the back of my Bible. This is what I found:
"Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake." Deuteronomy 31:6

So there you go. I asked for help and He said I will be with you no matter where you are and there is no need for you to be afraid. So I went, and because I went I got to spend some quality time with my kids and my Step Dad. I got to run in the sand chasing a seagull with my little boy. I was able to walk out my door today because of the love and precious care of God.

There is nothing and nowhere out of His reach. Take whatever you are carrying today and give it to Him knowing that He cares for you.
