Folks there is something I have to say. What happened in that high school in Ohio today can happen anywhere.

Satan is working hard to gain control of the minds of our children. We have got to be CERTAIN we are fighting harder. We have got to pray for our children. We have to teach them about Jesus and make sure that they understand. We have to model what it means to love your Brother. We can't yell love with one breath and then fume and fight with the next.

We need to send a clear message to our young ones that LOVE is the only answer. Jesus is the only one who can save us from this decrepit pit. Fighting back, stuffing anger, living with grudges, and hate are all ways to give the enemy a place to get his footing. Instead we need to let our children see us praying for someone who has done us wrong. They need to see us reaching out to lend a helping hand. They have to see what it looks like to live right.

If we wait and let the world teach our children right and wrong the future is bleak. It is time to stand firm. Set boundaries, PAY ATTENTION to what your kids are doing, watch their moods, make sure that if something is up with them you catch it before it gets out of hand. We as parents have been given a supremely important job, we need to acknowledge the gravity of that job. The consequences of ignoring it are dire.

Don't wait for tragedy to strike before you take the time to give your babies an extra snuggle. I know that I will do my damnedest to never take a moment with my kids for granted and I hope you will too.
