I feel much better today, although my body hurts really badly and I am still not eating much. Praise God I didn't get the throw up part of it. Just a hideous tummy ache and some other miscellaneous things that proper ladies do not talk about.
I was pretty scared during the eye of the storm yesterday. I prayed a lot that God would help me through it and relax my body and my mind. I focused a lot on breathing and I laid in bed thinking about how much I would have liked to be out doing my Mommy job.
Every Mommy at some point thinks, gee I'd like a break. I think it daily. I will tell you this though, after yesterday and today I will not be taking those things for granted for quite awhile. I want to be in the kitchen making nutritious meals, I want to be snuggling my baby boy reading stories, and most of all I want all of my babies to feel secure and loved.
I realized last night as Kyra couldn't sleep because she was too worried about me that the job of making my family feel secure and ok is mine. When Mommy is ok, so is the family. I think that is a super important job and now that I understand that it is mine I will work harder to build that feeling for my children. I want them always to know that home is safe and no matter what happens this is a place of respite and renewal.
So I am going to cut this short as my arms and hands hurt, but I wanted to say hi and that I had the beast and am alive to tell the tale! Have a lovely day!
Hope you feel better soon, Sara! Good for you for making it through!
