Tomorrow I turn 29. (Also this is my 200th post!)
It's not 30, so there's that. But it's not 21 either. I don't feel incredibly depressed about it because, to be honest, I turned "old" the day my first child was born.
When I was a little girl I used to day dream about being on my own, in my twenties, being super happy. It was my go to happy place. Well as of tomorrow I am down to one last year in that place. Can I just tell you, it has been *WAY* different than those day dreams?! Mary Tyler Moore lied to me! ;)
My big plans include some garage sales, a hair cut (WHOO HOO), and some quality time with the family. All awesome things. I know it doesn't sound like a whiz bang kind of time, but it sounds heavenly to me! (I really must be old I just used the term "whiz bang")
I am thankful for the blessings this year has brought to me. I am grateful to be able to celebrate some big things in the lives of my friends. I am lucky enough to still be standing next to my Hubby, who is either too polite or too blind to notice the gray piling up. I am proud to have seen my three little bundles from Heaven grow, learn, play, laugh, and love.
So all in all I think 28 did well be me. I am looking forward to what 29 has to offer. Just a fair warning though, exactly one year from today there will be QUITE a different kind of post. So hold on to your hats!
i turned 31 this year. it was the worst! 30 felt okay, 31 feels ... well, not so good. lol.
