It has been four days since my child has slept more than 3 hours. He learned how to climb out of his crib last week and now he won't stay in. J and I are wrecked. Completely exhausted.
So we are putting up the toddler bed, because it can't get any worse and at least we know he won't hurt himself getting out of there. I have no clue what the answer is here, so we are praying, researching, asking friends and family
The funny thing is, he doesn't seem all that tired. Seriously, I could carry a months worth of groceries home in the bags under my eyes and that little darling is bright eyed and bushy tailed. Ahh youth.
The girls had their first sleepover at Grandma's house on Friday night. They had a BLAST! They got home and I am not even joking within 15 minutes they were both wailing and throwing tantrums. Now that's what a tired child is supposed to look like! ;) They each slept 12 hours last night. Good to go.
While they were gone J and I got to see what it would have been like if Jack had been our first born. We got to see him, really see him. Watch his mannerisms and how he is without any influence from the other two. It was pretty neat. We taught him fun things and took him out to breakfast and played and watched Gadget. (Yes my almost two year old little boy LOVES Inspector Gadget.)
I have to wrap up now as I have a bed to assemble and a ton of begging for sleep to do. As always any suggestions are heartily welcomed! Hope you are having a great weekend!
Get a crib tent. We have one so Little Man can't get out whenever he wants. He is so not ready for a toddler bed. He also has sleep issues; we do no sugar after nap (most days!), no roughhousing after dinner, limited television all day, and I do all in my power to wear him out! A few nights a week we cuddle on our bed and watch a veggie tales tape, too. Hang in there, Mama!! Lack of sleep is the worst!!
