The Brunner Easter was very lovely.
On Saturday we were scheduled to go to my Mom's for an Early Easter dinner and an egg hunt and other fun things. Then I found out that one of the kid's cousins had thrown up Saturday morning. *enter panic from hell* My Sis-In-Law was nice enough to stay home with the sick baby just in case. The rest of their family was still going so I was still really nervous. I debated over and over in my head whether or not to go, but not wanting to rob my kids of that experience with their Grandparents I sucked up my fear and we loaded in the van and went. Had a wonderful time and super glad that we did.
Sunday was a great day. The kids woke up to Easter Baskets at 5:50. Yes that's right the first number on the clock was 5. *yawn* Then we got all dressy dressy and headed to Church for a sincerely awesome worship. Both of the girls sat with us in service and did a fantastic job! Jack went to the nursery with no fuss! No crying at all! *win*
Then we went off to see Nana who always has treats a plenty! After a nice visit with her we went home for a nap. Well J and I took a nap and the kids buzzed around on their sugar propelled engines.
Then started the preparations for my Easter dinner which we were lucky enough to share with J's parents. A lovely meal of Glazed spiral ham, three cheese risotto, asparagus, and rolls. Plus like ten other things that I can't think of right now because I am still mostly sleeping. It was all delicious, which I am totally grateful for as I was very nervous! Hot fudge brownie sundaes for dessert. *best part*
The kids were tucked in and out by 7 and J and I weren't far behind!
All in all a wonderful Easter and now it's Monday and I am looking at piles of dishes and leftovers. Worth it! SO if you need some ham come see me! And if you have a hankering for doing some dishes you know where to find me! I pay in jelly beans. *just the black ones*
I hope you all had a fantastic day too full of family and friends!
