Brunner News

September has been totes cray loves.

Late in August I decided to audition for a play. Two plays actually. And despite all laws of common sense they cast me in both. This means I have been at rehearsal most nights since the 26th of August. Whew! This coming Thursday is opening night and I am equal parts excited and terrified. Remembering my lines is going to prove to be a challenge because most days remembering the names and locations of my own children is rough. However I get to shake my drama and funny bones simultaneously. My family is thrilled I have an outlet for my shenanigans. It makes home life a little more even keeled.

The 18th we went for our 20 week ultrasound to check on that bean and find out whether it's a Bean or a Beanette. The precious little stink bottom had it's legs crossed and it's knees pulled tight to it's chest. No dice. We did find out that the placenta is very low bordering near the danger zone. Some pretty grating restrictions came with that news. So we are all adjusting to life with those. We did go back yesterday to finally find out that we are having a baby girl! All are excited, except for Jack. He won't love the baby unless it's a boy Batman. We are working on a newborn Batman mask. Nothing is too extreme for producing sibling love and peace.

Settling into school has gone amazingly well. The pick up routine is insane, but that's a small price to pay for two great teachers that the girls adore. We have already picked up our first school year virus. Praise God it was a respiratory one and not a tummy one. Egads. So we all spent last week huddled around the humidifier singing Kumbaya, sounding much like Phillis Diller.

That's it guys. Our crazy month. I'm glad it's ending, but I'm so glad we had it.
